Meal Plan Basics

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2014 - 2015 academic year.   If you have any questions regarding the meal plans offered simply contact Alaine Scoles in the Dining Hall offices (651-641-8275) or e-mail at

Will your class schedule, studying, extracurricular activities and social events interfere with dining? Not this year!  New hours have been designed to ensure all students are able to enjoy a fresh meal with plenty of options.

If you live in HYATT VILLAGE - LUTHER HALL - WOLLAEGER HALL the meal plan is as follows:

$1600.00 flex points - Cost Per Semester is $1895.00  This plan offers the students the ability to dine throughout campus with a Flex Points balance of $1600.00

Holst Hall Meal Plan:

$700.00 Flex Points.  Cost Per Semester $848.00 This plan offers students the ability to dine throughout campus with a Flex Points balance of $700.00

Don't Run Out!  Purchase $100 flex points for only $65 anytime before the end of the semester.  Note: this is only for students with on-campus meal plans.

For Students Living Off Campus

Students living off campus are eligible for purchase of a Voluntary Meal Plan. Voluntary Meal Plans are Flex Points that can be used at the Dining Hall in the Student Life Center or at the Commons Cafe. Flex Points not used at the end of the fall semester will roll over to the spring semester, but Flex Points not used by the end of the spring semester will not carry over to the summer or the next fall.

  1. Option 1: $100.00 = 100 Flex Points

  2. Option 2: $250.00 = 250 Flex Points

  3. Option 3: $400.00 = 400 Flex Points

What are Flex points?

Just like a debit card/cash! Flex points are usable just like cash – you can purchase snacks or meals at the Dining Hall or Commons Cafe .. Flex points cannot be converted to cash. You can add additional Flex points to any meal plan at any time

Voluntary Flex Purchases
Anyone can open a Voluntary account or add Voluntary Flex points to their existing meal plan. You can purchase Flex points from the Food service office to open or add to your account.

Lost or stolen Meal Cards? Should this happen to you please get a replacement at the Campus HELP Desk next to the bookstore. Contact them directly at x-8866.

Opt Out of Meal Plan  Petitions to opt out of the Meal Plan must be received by August 15, 2014 for Fall Semester and January 5, 2015 for Spring Semester.  All petition requests must be made to Heidi Goettl at   Note: Students with a disability requiring modifications of meal plans should work with Student Accessibility Servies.  This includes students who are medically unable to remain on meal plans.    Please email

Dining Policies

  • Please bus your dishes, cups, and utensils from your table when you have finished dining.
  • Please refrain from taking dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
